By Jove, I think that’s doubled it!

BeforeWe raised £307!!! Proof that the “Monday Blues” do work, and thanks to everyone who traipsed up to school at the start of a week, dragging bags of used textiles.

Considering the new doorstep recycling service launched by the council in the summer, we had a respectable Bag2School pile at the gates this morning.  Once the Monday Blues were added, the hoard was nearly twice the size.  Not bad for 40 minutes work and an endorphin rush fit to stave off the need for Ready Brek for a couple of hours.

The next collection will be booked for a date after the Easter break, next spring, and we’ll post details of how much we made this time in about a week.

There might even be a wistful suggestion that many hands make light work and you could volunteer a little time to help ferry from the shed on collection day.  What one person can do in 40 minutes, four people can do in 10, but then the one wouldn’t feel like She-Ra afterwards! After

Have a good Friday and feel free to keep bagging up your cast offs!

Monday Blues will continue running throughout the intervening period.
