Now in its fifth year, Ley Hill will once again be hosting Classics on the Common on Sunday 12 August 2012. Classic vehicle owners are invited to park on the Ley Hill Cricket Pitch for visitors to view between noon and 4pm. In previous years this relaxed Sunday afternoon event has attracted upwards of 100 classic cars, bikes and tractors which can come and go when they want or need to.
Other attractions over the afternoon include a barbeque run by Ley Hill School Parent Teacher Association (PTA), a number of stalls and a locally owned replica steam traction engine providing rides for the children. Members of Ley Hill Methodist Church will rustle up cream teas and the Ley Hill Cricket Club bar will be open with a few games to play.
Everyone is invited to go along, take a picnic if you like, and chat to the car owners. The afternoon is free of charge with the organisers holding a bucket collection, first and foremost used to cover costs and then any surplus is given to a charity which is yet to be decided.
If you, or anyone you know, would like a stall at this event, or want further details, please contact Neil Lamond on 01494 774996 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Chiltern Voice reported Ley Hill Classic Vehicles on the Common.
