WHY NOT TAKE ON A ‘CHESHAM CHALLENGE’ THIS HALF TERM
Chesham Museum and Ley Hill School have joined forces to devise a “Round -The-Town Picture Quiz” that any age will thoroughly enjoy completing.
Starting on Saturday, May 28th at 10.0am, anyone, young or old, resident or out-of-town, can start hunting for answers about historic features in Chesham, by following the picture clues designed by Chesham Museum.
The “Challenge” should take about an hour and can be done at any time on any day during half term week. It will culminate at 3pm on Saturday June 4th with a Grand Finale outside Chesham Museum, hosted by a local dignitary when winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
The trail begins at the Museum in Market Square, from where the first and last features will be visible, allowing you to follow it clockwise or anti clockwise. As you approach each clue’s location, the next one will come into sight (in nearly every case), indicating the route you need to take.
With 20 historic features to find, each with a question to complete, you will spend a fun few hours on the hunt, learn things you didn’t know about Chesham and its history and see the town from a whole new perspective.
Entry forms can be purchased (£1.50) before the event from Ley Hill School, Ley Hill, Chesham (Call Dulcie on 01494 260404) or from 10am on Saturday May 28th from Chesham Museum, 15 Market Square, Chesham and Orbit Press, 11 Market Square, Chesham . Completed forms can be handed into the Museum (or posted through the letter box, if closed) at any point during the week but by 2pm at the latest (the closing time for entries) on Saturday 4th June.
